Wisdom/Truths

Various writings and poetry from sages and thinkers from the past and present with some emphasis upon Judaic   sources are shown.  The purpose is to enliven and stimulate our spiritual sensibilities on many levels.  This is one..  While 'A New Religion' seeks to relate to the above in a fresh way, these writings are part of the soil that can nourish this effort..

Modim: Gratitude

How different our lives are
when we appreciate life
itself as a gift.

  How beautiful a day
then seems, how forgiving
we can then be of the petty
disturbances that so easily
distract and annoy us.

We go out then to the
world, and each encoun-
ter seems fresh, open to
new possibility, and what
we experience may seem
miraculous.

Hi, Steve,

Took the time before I went to paint this morning to read a little of the materials for thought that you send. By my bed, I have the saying, "Tov L'Hdot L'Adonai" - It is good to give thanks to God.

I thought this complemented that:

May your life be full of peace in ourselves and all others, and may we have a year of health, then life will be good. Thanks, Beth

Hey Beth,

Sound like a cozy morning with good thoughts and painting. at least it sounds protected. I like the saying you have near your bed. I guess everything leads to that in one way or another. Great prayer and does complement perfectly. Your well wishes at the bottom also has meaning and is thoughtful and says it all. All I can say is 'let it be so.'
