6. Help
Even though we have known there is meaning and even a God, we still feel incomplete. If God is distant and we terminate at some point, that is sad. We would need help to accept that or it would be overwhelming. If it is possible to live after our death, how do we do that? How do we become timeless? We can't accomplish that on our own. We need help. We are made out of flesh. Our power and scope are limited.
In this life, when we compete, argue, fall short, or get ill, we need assistance to persevere. Our own strength is not always enough. How should we handle our attachments and our memories? Little countless special moments can lead to much sadness. Even if we live beyond this life, our lives here will never be again. Although while here life can be difficult and can't last, it is special and unique and no moment will ever be again. We have love for many different things here. A loyal animal, the light glimmering through drapery, a poem capturing a certain longing, or the sweet taste of a melon can't be replaced. How do we deal with all this coming to an end? Strangely, we can even be attached to our enemies, for we both share life and experience together.
To some extent we were better off before we knew there was a God. We were fearful but didn't expect as much. We just wanted to live, survive, and not feel too much pain. Now we know there is more, and realize there is a maker who we are drawn to. Gradually we realize we need help in all areas of this life. The sadness, the good moments, all won't be anymore. Who can understand us but an intelligence like ours and more? When we are let down and feel depleted how can we restore ourselves? Everything we've tried or anyone we know hasn't spared us from a certain emptiness. At some point or at many points we realize we need help. We look all over for this help. We need help surviving this life and help connecting with what is timeless. At some point we will even try to ask the above for help.
